MEMORIES, Pacific Dolphin #269, Dan Diego, California - updated July 6, 2019

June 29, 2019. Senior DFI, Rick Kennedy (Boethius, Yankee #149) may have found us a previously unknown Dolphin. Here is his email.

Ron,

Here is a picture of Pacific Dolphin #269. It was recently given to the San Diego Aquatic Center on Santa Clara Point in Mission Bay.

Paul Lang at the Center has fixed it up for use as a training vessel. He says it will be much loved and much used.

July 4, 2019. We got the following email from Rick - The PDF he attached helped website staff determine that Memories was once Ensemble. Click here to go to Ensemble's page.

Ron,

I forward what Paul Lang sent me about the Pacific Dolphin #269. Note the article in Cruising World attached written by the former owners.

July 6, 2019 - Your webmaster advised Ralph Folsom's and Pixie Haughwout, the prior owners of Ensemble/Memoriesof this new website page, and questioned why the name change. Ralph sent in the following reply - minor edit

Hi Ron,

Thank you, Ensemble/Memories is indeed much loved and used by students at Mission Bay Aquatic Center, a branch of San Diego State Univ. The hull # is 269.

Meanwhile, we are still cruising the North Channel on a Rosborough 246 Sedan Cruiser, a Canadian trailerable trawler, and continue with our North Channel guide, Well-Favored Passage, now in its 45th Anniversary Edition. Then there is Folie a Deux, our Jeanneau 930 canal boat on the Canal du Midi in France, where we just finished the 20th edition of Canal Cruising in the South of France. You can find both boats and guides at www.SeaFeverCruisingGuides.com.

You made us smile! Happy July 4th!!

Ralph

postscript, Ralph's reply re the name change: What we have of her are deeply fond memories.
