This letter is from Rod Stephens to Ron Noe, owner of En Charette, Lunn # 200, now Gary DeLong's Savili. The main bulkhead of Ron's boat was made of multiple layers (3?) of 3/4 inch fir marine plywood and the wood had begun to check. He was concerned about the load issue and wrote to S&S, resulting in the following reply.
