Hi All
We could use some help figuring out/correlating hull numbers and name plate ID numbers. For example, Fred Goguen's Pacific Dolphin Thankful which is up on Casco Bay in Maine has a Hull #PDM242610676. This could mean "Pacific Dolphin M (model?) 24; hull #261; built June, 1976. Pacific Dolphin hull #256 was built in 1976. Pending more imput I like this theory and will assume Thankful boat is hull #261.

On O'Day built boats, a much earlier time frame and a different system, we have Mike Gooch-Breault's Passage (see Restorations/Passage/Namplate for a picture of this nameplate). It was stamped Hull #3230, Class #10, built by Marscot Plastics for G.D. O'Day Associates, Inc. We have other info sources that place this boat as hull #10.

Any input on hull ID#s, locations of these numbers, whether molded in or on nameplates, builder info listed on nameplate, other related info much appreciated. This request applies to all builders, O'Day, Lunn, Tripp, J.J. Tayler & Sons, Yankee, and Pacific.

Forgot one reference on nameplates - go to Roster Overview in the links section for an explanation of builder hull ID #s.

Ron
