Hi all
This message being posted by your webmaster for Jim Robinson, Aquila, Pacific Dolphin #273 (due to a Forum Technical problem unique to Jim, we think - being worked on)

My factory Pacific Dolphin spreader brackets are cast aluminium and one is cracked with a portion of the female fitting end broken away. Pictures are posted on Aquila's page http://www.dolphin24.org/acquila.html

An internet search finds SS replacements at Dywers but in a very different attachment configuration.

I'm going to check out re- fabricating or "mending" the broken piece, but I suspect it would will be difficult to expensive. Those shims over the bolts are seized as well, so I may break more of the set up before if I need to seperate the pieces. Worked fine the first 32 years.

Any imput or ideas? please post them here. Thanks

Jim

This is Jim Robinson (aka Soggydollar) with an update ---
I sent a photo of the spreader brackets to Dwyer Aluminium Mast and the reply was "We've never seen an arrangement like this."
They recommended an Aluminium foil spreader with SS brackets as a replacement for a 3"X5" mast.
