Has anyone had the nerve to look at their keel bolts?
Having replaced several in wood boats over the years, I wonder if fiberglass boat bolts are immune to the problems associated with corrosion . Fifty seven years is a long time.

Hi Robert
Speaking for #10, Passage, and #12 Marionette, I have never seen our keel bolts, and have never seen signs of rust or cracks either in the bilge or at the keel/fiberglass deadwood parting line. As far as the website contacts are concerned the only comments re keelbolt problems I can recall were with New Zealand built Falcon 24s.

"Immune" is a strong word but if you see no external sign of problems this is one dog that I would let sleep
