Greetings,

Last Saturday I purchased and trailered home Dolphin #184, the former ICELANDER. She needs some minor cosmetic work, but is solid and all there, including 5 great original sails and a like new 2003 Mercury 9.9 outboard.

I live in U.P. Michigan and sail on Lake Superior, so it will be a long cold winter before I get her in the water.

I also own a Great Dane 28 sloop which was built in Denmark, but wanted something I could trailer. I hope to trail her south next winter.

She's beautiful and I can't wait to launch her next May.

I hope to add a dodger to her inventory...any suggestions?

Thanks,
Robb W.

Congratulations Robb. I'm jealous of course.

There's a Dolphin near me in Marina del Rey, in the los Angeles, that has a dodger installed. It's the "Blue Dolphin" that Ron mentions in the roster. I may have a close up of its dodger installation...if so I'll forward to you.

Good luck with #184! What's her new name?

Robb

If you'll give me your e-mail address, I'll sent you some pics of the installation on the Blue Dolphin. I have a couple of good close-ups.

Congratulations Robb and Good Luck
You probably know we already have Icelander up on the site - if not go to Rosters and check her out. We also have the link to the Good Old Boat article by Dyke Williams in which she appeared.

Regarding dodgers, another boat to check out is Bodes Well who has a dodger www.dolphin24.org/Bodes_Well.html in Rosters - in the Hull number section at the end. For some reason I don't have her in the alphabetical Roster which I'll fix when I get back home.

I'll get Icelander updated then too - what's her new name?

Ron (webmaster)
