In the process of restoring our newly acquired Dolphin we decided to add stanchions and lifelines. The boat came with a pretty badly bent bow pulpit but we were able to find a used replacement.
What have others used in similar situations? Being the...ahem.. thrifty individual I am, I would like to buy used rather than new. I've searched in the usual venues but no luck. I've found either junk of what surely must be chrome plated gold pieces.

I've just come back from Maine. Scoured the Mid-Coast for used stanchions, nothing yet. I've checked the usual suspects also but no luck. Will keep looking as its a long time before sailing season.

Hi Mike

I've got a complete set of stanchions that came with my Dolphin, including for the bow pulpit. I have never gotten around to installing them because I don't really care for stanchions. I would be happy to sell them to you for a fair price - Dolphin owner to Dolphin owner with all of the kindred fair pricing that that demands.
