I'm thinking it would be nice to put an asymmetrical spinnaker on Parakletos for better downwind speed and reaching on the frequent light-air days on Puget Sound. Does anyone have recommendations on the best size and rigging?

Hey Anker,
I would recommend talking to your sailmaker about the size and type of the sail. Depends on your intended use. Racing or cruising, light air reaching or down wind also, etc, etc. As far as rigging goes, it would help to know what your current set up is. Do you have a spin. halyard, topping lift, spin. pole, etc? All of the above are easy to deal with if not. Agian, it depends on your needs. You may need to do nothing assuming you have a pole. Let us know what you have.

Hi Eric
Chris Peregine's Ariadne, a Shaw 24, had an asymetrical spinnaker. She was in your area at the University of Washington. You can see a picture of Ariadne on the website with her spinnaker. Chris might be a good source of info
