My father and I are looking for a Dolphin in WA, OR or CA. Interested in a structurally sound boat, but we don't mind some work (rigging, carpentry, wiring, etc). Our price point is somewhere around $5000.

Years ago we owned El Gitano, a Dolphin 24 in Eureka, CA, and we want to sail one again. Thanks.

Hi Joe and Arnold-

Mark Spector's "Yankee", #138 is for sale. She's in Marina del Rey, in Los Angeles, on the same dock as my boat. She's in generally good shape. I can put you in touch with Mark if you send me a private message in this forum.

I too am looking for a west coast Dolphin24 - WA, OR or CA - I have been trying to contact the broker for Loki but have not yet had success. It sounds like there may be one dry-docked in Olympia ??
Any leads would be appreciated
best,
Olivia Ullrich

I called the brokerage that has Loki and spoke to someone who told me a salesman would call me back, but no call yet. The posting seems to indicate that the boat is under repair. My father recalled a Dolphin in California that had suffered a T-bone wreck and we're thinking that might be the same one, but not sure, of course. Try calling the number on the web page, I had to try a couple times before I got someone.

I've never heard about the one in Olympia.

My father and I bought Yanqui from Rick down in Benicia, CA. Thanks to everyone for your help, especially Ron for this site. Joe Sharpe
