I saw this vessel, (Grace or Gracie?) in a marina in Santa Cruz, CA over the Memorial Day weekend. Looks as though it had a nice sized hole punched in the starboard side(maybe from the tsunami that pasted thru a few months back???)
At any rate, anybody know who she belongs too? Is she for sale? I'm looking for a, dare I say "project" and she looks beautiful and exactly what I'm looking for.
thanks for your help
Chuck

Hi Chuck
We have a few boats in Santa Cruz (put Santa Cruz in the Search link and out they come) but no Grace/Gracie. If you get back that way can you get more info, picture? maybe the name of the marina? This could be a new one on our Roster
Thanks

Hi Ron
I will try to get that info for you. I just stumbled on the boat purely by accident. I noticed the trailer first(since I'm looking for a trailerable sailboat) then noticed this neat little vessel on top. I had no idea what the boat was until I googled "sailboat with a dolphin" the other day and fell into the loop. I live north of S.F.,CA and don't get to Santa Cruz often, but we do have google earth so I may find the marina this way.
I'll post more info as I find it
Thanks
Chuck

She may be a 'newly found Dolphin!

A Dolphin 24 investigation team, that's dedication! I have not had a chance to call the yard, but, I did find a youtube video of the 03/11/11 tsunami that went right through the marina where the boat yard is located. The boatyard is featured in the video across the channel from where this video was filmed. The little Dolphin would be behind the large shop/warehouse/store (which would be the street entrance) in the video and she can't be seen.
Judging by the size of her holing, the damage could easily been caused by this surge.
Incredible footage and testimony to the power of nature and the sea.

Best of Luck finding the owner.
