G'day, anyone played with an inner forestay for a storm jib to lessen the slot between it and the main. I've not used mine in anger and it looks all wrong.

If the weather is suitable next weekend I'll try and get a photo up.

I'm going to try and get more info. In the meantime if you get a chance please measure your storm jib for sail area, and luff, leech and foot lengths. Dave Gliddens, a NZ sailmaker, sent us a note indicating a sail area for the S&S 24 of 40 (square feet?) The S&S sail plan shows a #4 jib at 70 sq ft, my boat has a "storm jib" that measures about 89 sq feet. My sail, not really a storm jib size, hanks on the fore stay, as I think Dave's would - Also, where is the location of the sheet block for your sail when going upwind?
